Days at the park
We've stumbled upon a really nice park that's only 3 miles from our house. It can't be more than a year old, it has smaller equipment and there is never more than one more family there. We've been 3 times this week and the girls love it. Today after I picked them up from MDO, we went to the park for a cookie picnic and they played for about 45 mins. Camryn is a little daredevil, she makes me a nervous wreck. Her little legs are barely long enough to climb some of the ladders, but she makes it and goes down one big slide that Ryan won't.

She won't say this in front of anyone, but me. I really wanted Jared to hear her, but she'd clam up whenever he was near. So, I suggested recording her and she was all about that, little ham.

The Byrd princesses
With the dang weather going from one extreme to the next, the girls are both have ruuny noses this morning, so we just decided to stay home today. Ryan remembered a big bag dress up clothes that Jimalea's daughter, Erin handed down to her, so that's what we've been doing this morning. Last night, Ryan went to the baseball game with Jared. She turned out to be the only kid in the box, with all men. She left home with her purse, camera, jewelry, lip gloss and a book of stickers...so needless to say they were home early. Jared said she was driving them all nuts, giving out stickers, asking questions, etc. He came home with a "Ryan" headache, and she didn't fall asleep until 10:15. Apparently, he's likes the punishment because he just called saying he wanted to take her again tonight, but one of her best buddies Caleb will be there.

Growing and changing
We made it through Ryan's party and now Camryn's 2nd birthday will be here before we know it. We're planning on having Cam's party at a local park, and let the kids make their own sundaes or something along those lines. We'll have Cam a big bash next year, when she'll really be able to enjoy and understand it. Ryan's going to start soccer this summer, 4yr old boys and girls on the same team. Can't wait to see she does. We went to watch Aunt Niki play yesterday, and she says she's ready to try to play. She's concerned about getting the have water breaks though;)
In the Fall Ryan is also starting a different class at Little Gym that is a combination of jazz, ballet, tap and gymnastics. I'm thinking she can take this for about a year, then she can tell us which type she enjoys the most and if she wants to concentrate on just one or what. We're going to start Camryn in a Little Gym class after she turns 2, so she can release some of her energy. She already loves all the instructors, so I think she'll do great. Ryan also starts Creative School this Fall, so she's in for lots of changes.
